One Sunflower

I’m not done yet….

on February 6, 2011

I wrote a bit about my thinking yesterday but it seems I have more I want to say.

As I continue to learn and grow as a teacher, I think I’m becoming more successful at helping my students link their play – which is their work – to experiences which will help them be successful readers and writers.  I think these pictures of student writing speak volumes about the power of their experience in the classroom – and how it is my job to help them think, talk, draw and write about what they find stimulating and memorable.

I’ve written about play in preschool in previous entries – as referenced here and here and here and I’m sure I will be writing about it again!
